1. Think product quality right from the design stage

1.1 The design project

The design project is a set of processes that transforms the requirements for an object into detailed requirements for its realization (ISO 9000 § 3.4.8). It is thus articulated between :

  • input elements: requirements relating to the product to be designed, i.e. those expressed by the customer or his representative, those derived from the designers' experience, those resulting from constraints linked to the downstream process (particularly production), legal regulations, etc;

  • output elements: a set of documented elements defining the detailed requirements to be met downstream for its production, delivery and/or commissioning, use or operation... This set of elements constitutes...
