8. Mistakes to avoid

8.1 Beware of macros

As you've probably guessed, this example of a tool uses Excel macros to automatically retrieve realization data from the information system. Macros save time through automation, but require maintenance, which can be problematic over the duration of a project. Use macros only when the mass of data is too great to manage manually. In addition, they may "scare" users, as they imply greater complexity and rigidity.
