2. Use reports, tables, visual reports, displays

MS Project 2010 and 2007 offer the same tabular reports as previous versions and the same visual reports:

  • in MS Project 2007, reports are available under the [Report/Reports] menu. In this dialog box, you have access to a set of reports, and under [Custom] to a few additional reports;

  • In MS Project 2010, reports are accessible from the [Project] tab of the Ribbon. In [Custom Reports], you will have access to new reports.

Note that you can modify reports, for example to show critical tasks month by month, or to display resources. In MS Project 2007, click on [Overview]then on [Modify]to modify your report by integrating the periods, resource forecast details and visualizations you want. You can do the same with the cross-referenced reports offered in the dialog box, and...
