3. Which modeling technologies should you use?

3.1 Inert" models

Among the technologies available to achieve a good level of representativeness, characterized by correct dimensioning (footprint, interfaces with environmental elements), there are two families to choose from, depending on whether or not you have a digital definition.

Manual manufacture, or using "conventional" machines

The simplest process uses a block of polyurethane foam, either milled or sculpted by hand (hand tools, cutting tools, abrasives). You can also use :

  • sheet products (cardboard, plastics) ;

  • semi-finished products (rods, tubes) available in plastics or various metals.
