5. Managing stakeholder engagement
This process involves monitoring relations with the project's stakeholders and adapting strategies and plans to involve them.
The integration of stakeholders throughout the project naturally leads to an understanding of other facets of the project than those focused solely on the initially specified object; while this is a source of added value, it requires us to remain vigilant with regard to objectives and stakes, or risk drifting off course. It is therefore essential to cultivate the capacity for analysis and synthesis, as well as the ability to stand back and take a realistic, forward-looking view of all events likely to occur and the consequences of interactions between stakeholders. The ability to react in a timely fashion to make the most of the unexpected is a decisive factor in management in this type of context.
