5. Differentiating between design verification and validation

There are two very distinct quality assurance locks at the product design stage: verification and validation.

Verification and validation stages are planned into the design project.

In terms of quality assurance, where feasible, it is preferable that the validation phase takes place before the product is made available or implemented.

As with a design review, you'll be able to ratify the results of the verification and validation stages. Any actions identified will also need to be followed up.
