3. Exploiting the riches of open archives
The CoopIST (Coopérer en information scientifique et technique) website defines an open archive as "a documentary database that is freely accessible on the Internet. Researchers can deposit a scientific or technical document of which they are the author and for which they hold the distribution rights, in order to make the document freely accessible. Readers can freely search, consult and download a scientific document that has been deposited in the open archive" (DEBOIN, 2015).
Several types of documents can be exploited in open archives.
