5. Rely on specialized search engines

It is also advisable to use multi-resource search engines to complete searches. These tools, which operate in a similar way to meta-search engines on the Internet, allow you to search several open archives and publication platforms simultaneously. However, these search tools do not all rely on the same resources, which is why it is worthwhile using several of them. Four of them deserve particular attention.

5.1 The OAI BASE harvester

BASELAB (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) is an OAI-PMH service provider. As such, Base collects, standardizes and indexes data from open archives and other platforms that comply with the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Matadata Harvesting....
