7. Mistakes to avoid

7.1 Don't multiply review meetings unnecessarily

The review cycle depends on the size of the project you're managing. In the case of a multi-year project, integrating complex and important developments, the number of reviews and monthly or tri-annual frequencies are justified. This is not the case for most projects. Adapt the frequency of meetings and the number of reviews to the size of your project. Don't ask for reports too frequently, as you may end up with incorrect or incomplete information due to lack of time or perspective.

Don't hesitate to adapt the review cycle during the course of the project, depending on the criticality of the issues. There's no point in having the same type of follow-up for a complex project where numerous problems arise as...
