6. Our advice

We recommend using this method:

  • In phase 3 of an action value analysis , to weight (we say value in AV) the functions of the specifications.

  • In phase 5 of an action, value analysis, for a given function, to find the weights representing satisfactions relative to the different design solutions considered.

  • During a Design-to-Cost action, to find a budget distribution key between functions or sub-systems.
