5. What are the protection formalities?
Copyright and design rights are not subject to the same protection formalities.
5.1 Copyright protection
Copyright protection is acquired without formality, simply by creating the work (see article L. 111-1 du CPI ), subject to compliance with the conditions of originality and form.
Nevertheless, in the event of a dispute, the beneficiary of the copyright must be able to prove :
he is the author of the work or has had the rights assigned to him by the author of the work;
the date on which the work was created.
