Despite the new 2.0 distribution methods, newsletters and e-mailings are far from having disappeared, as they still represent one of the most effective means of direct communication.
So e-mail remains the most universal mode of communication, and you can be sure that it will be consulted. Although many people complain about being inundated by e-mails, direct sending (push mode) is much more effective for monitoring than intermediate models (Twitter, curation platforms...) where critical information can escape the watch clients, especially if they don't remain "hyperconnected" all the time. What's more, the so-called 2.0 modes of distribution are totally unsuited to the dissemination of sensitive content, since these platforms (Twitter, social networks, curation, etc.) are accessible to all in read-only mode.
