6.1 Don't underestimate the first signs of a crisis

All weak signals are harbingers and markers of the first cracks, hence the importance of listening to them and distinguishing them from the ambient noise. Bernard Arnault (LVMH) visits his sales outlets every Saturday to get as close as possible to consumers. There's no filter between the field and top management. This is one of the secrets of his success. Capturing and interpreting weak signals is imperative. In return, the information to be delivered is necessary, but not too much information.
