1. Identify the functional needs of users to be covered by the monitoring software

In general, any project to implement new software requires both functional and technical specifications.

While it may be possible, for certain simple projects, not to draw up technical specifications, functional specifications are absolutely essential. Its role is to formalize the needs to which the software will have to respond, and the functionalities it will have to fulfill.

Functionalities can be collected in different ways:

  • questionnaire mixing free and directed fields;

  • face-to-face interview ;

  • working group meetings ;

  • brainstorming and formalization.

It doesn't really matter how functional requirements are collected, but care must be taken to associate...
