3. Defining what is mandatory in the bibliographic watch specifications

What's compulsory is everything that will help you, effortlessly, to get back on track:

  • the reasons for setting up the watch (monitoring competitors, technological advances on a specific subject, methods, etc.);

  • the scope of the watch (do we only monitor French publications? American publications? French publications in French?

  • database(s). Depending on your budget, the database you choose may be free or not. Some databases reference more local journals (e.g. J-Stage references most Asian biomedical journals);
