8. Glossary
mission invention
Invention made "by the employee in the performance either of an employment contract involving an inventive mission corresponding to his actual duties, or of studies and research explicitly entrusted to him". Mission inventions belong to the employer.
Invention not attributable to mission
Invention "made by an employee either in the course of the performance of his duties, or in the field of the company's activities, or through the knowledge or use of techniques or means specific to the company, or of data provided by it". Invention outside the scope of an attributable mission belongs to the employee, but the employer has a right of attribution.
Non-attributable inventions
Inventions made by an employee that do not fall within the definition of mission...
