6. Set up a monitoring system
As with all databases, creating a personalized account is free, quick and easy. All that's required is a – e-mail account, which is linked to the new account and to which alerts are automatically sent.
6.1 Alerts on Scopus
Alerts are invaluable for optimizing your search time and developing a more personalized consultation of the database. They allow you to reverse the information search process by being informed by e-mail.
The easiest way to set up and subsequently manage alerts is to go to "Settings" in the home menu, located on the breadcrumb trail in green, to display the customizable settings (Searches, Alerts, Profile...). There are three main categories of possible alerts:
