environmental assessment tools;
environmental improvement tools.
There are two main types of environmental assessment tools: multi-criteria approaches, covering several categories of environmental impacts (water, toxicity, biodiversity, human health), and single-criteria analyses focused, for example, on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., Bilan Carbone®), water, or biodiversity (e.g., Global Biodiversity Score®).
The most comprehensive environmental assessment method is life cycle assessment (LCA)
