INTRODUCTION
This sheet explains how you can protect your software or computer creations.
Software and computer creations can be protected by intellectual property law under certain conditions. However, each component of a computer creation has its own regime (hybrid copyright for software, classic copyright for graphic elements, for example), and it is imperative to consider the applicable regime at each stage of the creation to optimize its protection.
In practice, to properly protect a computer creation, you need to identify its various components: software, graphic interfaces, algorithms, programming language, functionalities and documentation. This identification work will enable you to apply to each element the legal regime that is specific to it, to measure the extent of your rights and to optimize the protection of your computer creation.
