Common law reinforces the protection of software and computer creations.

Software and computer creations can be protected by contractual provisions. Please note, however, that your rights are not absolute and are limited by Code de la propriété intellectuelle .

Several types of contractual documents can be concluded:

  • privative, proprietary, free use license ;

  • assignment of rights; order contract ;

  • development contract.

As with any contract, it is possible to include specific clauses, such as warranties, which can prove very useful.
