When are specifications drawn up?

The initial version of the specifications is drawn up as soon as a design project is launched. By its very nature, this document evolves and becomes more precise as it passes through different stages. As a result, we sometimes use more precise terminology to define these different stages: for example, we find functional specifications, conceptual specifications and then technical specifications. Whatever the level of concretization specified in the content of the specifications, we seek to set out objectives and criteria that specify a problem area, rather than elements of solutions.
