Pilot installation

A pilot plant is a set of equipment or devices used to test a product or process on a scale or in an environment close to industrial reality.

At the end of the experimental phase, the pilot plant is no longer considered as a research and development facility, since it operates as a normal production unit.

New product

The new product is a tangible or intangible asset that meets the following two conditions:

  • it is not yet available on the market;

  • it distinguishes itself from existing or previous products through superior technical, eco-design, ergonomic or functional performance.
