8. Mistakes to avoid
8.1 Don't forget that indexing is done by humans
It is carried out by documentalists from the National Library of Medicine. In some cases, this indexing may be flawed (e.g., side effects not referenced). Product names may have been amalgamated with competing products. Always also look at the creation date of the MeSH term, as specified in Step 1.
Indexing takes time, so don't make the mistake, if you're looking for a recent article (especially for pre-publications), of using MeSH terms.
