2. Writing a PubMed search strategy

In PubMed, the Boolean operators are : AND, OR, NOT.

Use parentheses to combine terms, as in algebra.

(MOT1 OR MOT2) AND MOT3 = the combination of MOT1 AND MOT3 or MOT2 AND MOT3

The use of quotation marks allows you to search for several specific keywords, exactly as they are written: "pompe disease" won't bring back "pompe's disease".
