2. Associate your evaluation parameters with one or more of the 39 engineering parameters
When you compare your two evaluation parameters with the 39 generic parameters of the matrix, you may find yourself in one of three situations:
Case A: the evaluation parameter (EP) is equivalent to one of the 39 generic parameters (GP): in rare cases, this situation is ideal since it removes any ambiguity about the association EP n →PG 1 →39 .
Case B: the EP is not present but one of the 39 PGs is a synonym: when the connotation is similar, this parameter can be validated as equivalent.
Case C (most frequent): the PE has no equivalent or synonym among the 39 PGs: in such cases, it's important to go back to the physical quantities underlying the parameter...
