Unlike Web of Science (WoS), Google Scholar provides free access to its bibliographic references, and offers much broader coverage than its competitor.
Since 2012, Google Scholar has also been offering a new service behind the "Statistics" link that evaluates the reputation of the journals indexed in its database using the Hirsch h-index [4] :
