3. Risk assessment process and choice of tools

Managing activities in a way that protects the health and safety of employees means making preventive, protective or precautionary decisions in a context of uncertainty. The risk assessment process and its results, which come after the upstream risk avoidance phase, will provide the employer with information to help him/her make decisions, and in particular to enable him/her to prioritize risk situations and the resulting action planning.
