3.1 The contribution of biomechanics to the rehabilitation of amputees

Re-education aims to teach the functions restored by the prosthetic device. It focuses in particular on training to walk on a horizontal surface, with special attention to the support phase of the prosthetic limb. Quantified gait analysis (biomechanical clinical examination) provides quantitative parameters that complement the traditional clinical examination to identify defects and monitor their correction
