5. Assessment of the probability of drone loss

5.1 Default rate

The study focuses on a civilian C3 class multirotor drone (according to the European classification of Unmanned Aircraft Systems, UAS), non-redundant and weighing less than 25 kg, used for supervised autonomous missions. In this military context, the failure rates in Table 2 are used (λ is expressed in failures per hour).
