6. Conclusion

This article presented an educational study of fault tree analysis applied to a simplified autonomous drone. By systematically breaking down failure scenarios, the main vulnerabilities of the system were identified through the study of minimal cuts.

Design improvement strategies were then proposed, illustrating in concrete terms how the implementation of redundancies and the hardening of components can strengthen the robustness of the architecture. These solutions not only significantly reduce the probability of loss, but also introduce controlled degradation mechanisms.

Although simplified, the proposed model provides a clear framework for learning safety analysis tools in the aviation industry. It serves as an introduction to the principles of "safety by design" and can be enhanced by more advanced dynamic approaches.
