4. Manage the external documentation system

The management of the external document system is based on two pillars:

  • document watch ;

  • information integration/dissemination.

Document monitoring must be carried out on a regular basis, i.e. you need to be sure that new external documents are being created or developed, and monitoring procedures need to be formalized. Monitoring can be carried out in a variety of ways. Here is a non-exhaustive list of monitoring methods:

  • subscription to an organization ;

  • web monitoring ;

  • participation in networks.
