2. What are the specifics of document system management in an accredited laboratory?

The documentation system of an accredited laboratory is no different from that of a quality-certified entity. There are just a few points to which particular attention needs to be paid.

2.1 Practical instructions

Often referred to as operating procedures, these are the documents used to carry out the analysis or calibration according to a defined method. There is no obligation to convert external instructions into internal documents. It is often more practical to do so in order to standardize practices, but it is not an obligation. For example, the technician may well have a standard as a working document.
