5. Our advice
5.1 Keep it simple
There's no need to invent a multi-variable code system to reference a document. The document type followed by an increment is more than enough. We never call a document by its reference but by its title. So choose the right title.
Keep the versions simple too: the application date is sufficient to indicate the document version.
Quality documentation reflects the image of the laboratory: it's the first impression that auditors and newcomers get, and it must not be neglected.
