3. How do you manage information stored on computer files?
When information is not entered directly into a software package, it is often recorded in a computer file: a plan, a photo, a table, a report, etc. This information is essential to the company, and the quality approach enables us to ask the right questions to guarantee the principles of information management.
The first rule is to design the IT architecture in such a way as to safeguard all information. Often, files are stored on the company's server, and the server is subject to a backup system. In the best case, backup is automated and duplicated on a decentralized system. There is always the possibility of making backups on external hard drives (USB sticks are to be avoided, as they are unreliable over time): this system is often manual and therefore cumbersome, or even not very robust.
