2. A few words about foreseeable phenomena
A predictable phenomenon can be represented by a mathematical function that relates the output quantity (the phenomenon under study) to input quantities that explain the behavior of the output quantity. This is a "deterministic" model of the reality under study.
For example, we know that the size of a room is a function of its temperature at the time of observation. The mathematical model describing the behavior of part length as a function of temperature is given by the following formula:
