INTRODUCTION
Organizations wishing to implement a quality management system must pay particular attention to the non-conformity management process. Calibration and testing laboratories are no exception to the rule when it comes to implementing an accreditation process.
This management of non-conformities must include the means to identify deviations and non-compliant situations, as well as the tools to correct their consequences, prevent their recurrence and thus continuously improve the quality of the services provided.
The aim of this sheet is to present the requirements that laboratories have to meet in terms of identifying and dealing with non-conformities, and also to show how these non-conformities should lead to improvements in the quality management system.
The different types of non-conformity that a laboratory may encounter will be presented, along with the methodological tools that can be used to manage them.
