2. What are the needs for continuing education in metrology?
Training needs can be classified according to two themes.
The first, which we will call general metrology, includes :
knowledge of the fundamentals of metrology (concepts, vocabulary, standards, industrial metrology, etc.);
the purpose of metrology (traceability to standards, measurement uncertainties, metrology and quality, etc.);
metrology in the company (the metrology environment, its implementation, metrology management, etc.).
The second theme is metrology applied to the various fields of physics (mechanical metrology, electrical metrology, etc.), physical chemistry, biology, etc.
