6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't rewrite existing documents to adapt terminology

The terminology used in your documents is specific to your company and organization. Under no circumstances does the standard require you to modify the terms used in your documentation system (procedures, instructions, records, etc.) by introducing the notion of documented information.
