Polarography theory

The theory of polarography dealt with in this section will focus on the basic principles of classical polarography for describing recorded polarograms. In fact, the study of all polarograms is necessary when research into the reaction mechanism is required, whereas the simple measurement of the limiting current is sufficient for analysis. The peculiarity of the mercury drop electrode has posed some computational problems when equating the measured currents, and the most rigorous solutions take into account the expansion of the drop and its sphericity.
