Classic polarography

Classical polarography, although at the origin of electrochemical analysis techniques and a fast-growing method until the 1970s, is hardly ever used today. Many of the modern instruments currently on the market no longer offer it as an accessible method. In the search for ever-lower detection limits, and given the evolution of techniques, pulse polarography methods have become the preferred choice. However, we have chosen to devote a chapter to this method for three main reasons. The first is that most of the solutes that can be analyzed by polarography in various media have already been studied using conventional polarography, and that there are many books and publications on this subject.
