2.1 Location and attitude

The positioning of marine vehicles is a key factor in their proper use. Whether in the vicinity of offshore infrastructure or in a natural environment, incorrect positioning can have serious consequences for the environment being explored, and for the safety of the vehicle itself. What's more, in the particular case of inspection, the data collected has little meaning if it is not located correctly.
