5. Conclusion

In this article, we have provided knowledge and explained a methodology with the aim of robotizing a process in a large-scale environment. We emphasized the inaccuracy factors of robots, and gave some quantities to know in order to orientate the studies to be carried out. We have presented the measurement tools we use in our activities, and given orders of accuracy for these technologies, in order to suggest ways of meeting the right needs. Finally, we set out a seven-step methodology that we usually apply to the development of proofs of concept: a first case on the 3D printing of a house, and a second on the sanding and polishing of boat molds. As with any project, it is important to carry out a risk analysis to control the technical and scientific choices made in relation to the project's timeframe and technological maturity.
