1. Introduction
The robotics research community has felt the imperative need to regroup under distinct specialties in order to meet growing and complex challenges. These groupings have also facilitated the sharing of knowledge, the acceleration of discoveries and continuous innovation. As part of France's reindustrialization drive, the TIRREX (Technological Infrastructure for Robotics Research of Excellence) project aims to develop new emblematic robotics platforms, as well as national coordination of their access and development (in terms of physical access, digital access, open data and free software).
With the help of major players in French public robotics research (CNRS, INRIA, CEA, INRAe), the six thematic areas concerned are :
