ABSTRACT
This article describes the techniques used to verify fiscal gas meters in a regulatory framework. More specifically, it presents the different technologies of flowmetering (turbine, rotary pistons, diaphragm, ultrasonic, Vortex and Coriolis effects) and the reference meter (sound nozzle, master meter), their techniques of construction, the methods used to test them, their implementation and the uncertainties associated with the determination of the reference values.
