There is at least one system on the market (Auxitrol), a transposition for bulk solids of the side float detector for liquids, and featuring an articulated ball at the end of a rod passing through a neoprene diaphragm. Such a solution requires a relatively heavy, free-flowing product.
Operating temperatures range from – 55 to 85°C. Pressure must be less than 2 bar.
