4. Magnetic particle inspection
Non-destructive testing by magnetic particle inspection aims to detect surface or underlying defects (figure 3 ).
4.1 Excitation phase analysis
The part is subjected to the action of the magnetic field. There are three important magnetic field parameters to consider:
