Fluorescent transparent comparator

Transparent, rigid plastic ruler with geometric shapes (lines, circles, etc.), generally green in white light and fluorescent under UV-A illumination, for assessing the size of indications.

Overshoot

Maximum setpoint temperature exceeded in a drying oven, even if there are no parts to dry.

Emulsifier

Material that makes water washable the post-emulsifiable penetrant.

Colour contrast penetrant

Penetrant consisting of a solution of dye(s) (usually red) in a liquid for inspection in daylight or under artificial white light.

Fluorescent penetrant

Penetrant that emits visible light under the action of ultraviolet (UV-A) radiation....
