4. Connection of industrial standards and references

LNE and its partners are developing high-level transfer and calibration facilities to enable all standards, measuring instruments and reference materials to be connected to national standards. These facilities are set up in the calibration departments of national metrology laboratories and associated laboratories. In particular, they are used to calibrate the references of accredited laboratories and non-accredited organizations using these services. This ensures traceability to the International System of Units (SI).

Generally speaking, calibration and measurement capabilities issued by the calibration services of national metrology laboratories and laboratories associated with LNE are accredited by the Comité français d'accréditation (Cofrac).
