2. Impact of agrivoltaics on agricultural production

Agricultural crops are the result of millions of years of evolution and a thousand years of selection. They transform water and carbon dioxide into biomass using the sun's light energy. This biomass is then harvested by the farmer for human or animal consumption. As fixed organisms, plants must constantly adjust their growth and development in an attempt to adapt photosynthetic activity to fluctuating environmental conditions.

Installing a shading system made of controllable photovoltaic panels over the crops introduces a change in the plot's microclimate and plant behavior.
