Maple syrup

Logging of sugar maples for the production of maple water, which is marketed either as a beverage or in the form of derivatives such as syrup, butter, jelly, candy, or as an ingredient in beer, wine, spirits, etc.

Flashlight

A very important part of the collection system, there are two types. The traditional, hand-crafted tool consists of a small, tube-shaped piece of wood, then aluminum, which is inserted into a hole drilled in the trunk of the maple tree to collect the flow of maple water by gravity. The plastic industrial tool is also manually inserted and directly connected to a network of maple water collection tubes using a partial vacuum and a device that separates the maple water from the air, known as the extractor or releaser.
